Attribute revenue to partners

Source Attribution shows where your deals come from, how well each source converts, how big the deals land, and which partners bring in the most valuable ones. Pick a window, compare the sources, then rank the partners.

Before you begin

  • A vendor account with permission to read analytics and to read partners. Without both, the page is not available to you.
  • Deals in Airstride, either created there or synced in from your CRM. Attribution is calculated from your deals.
  • Your pipeline stages marked as won. A deal counts as won when it is approved and sits in one of your won stages.

Every deal carries one source, set when it is created. Source Attribution reports on three of them:

  • Account mapping: the deal came from an account that a partner mapped.
  • Referral link: the deal arrived through a valid referral link for your organisation.
  • Partner-submitted: every other deal a partner registered with you.
Step 1

Choose the time window

Open Source Attribution from the navigation. The page opens on This quarter. Switch to Last 6 months or Last 12 months to widen it. A deal belongs to a window by the date it was created, not the date it closed.

Four cards sit at the top. Blended ASP is the average value of a won deal. Won revenue is the total of those won deals. Partner-sourced revenue is shown as a percentage, and Deals created counts every deal in the window. A Preview badge sits beside the title.

  3. The cards recalculate for the window you chose.
Step 2

Compare the deal sources

Source comparison puts every source on one chart. Use the metric toggle to switch between ASP, Conversion, Revenue and Deals, and the sources re-rank each time. Source chips above the chart let you leave a source out. At least one stays ticked, and only sources that have deals in the window appear.

Source breakdown underneath lists each source with its deals, conversion, revenue and ASP. Partner sources carry a partner tag, and a small badge shows how many deals sit behind each figure, so you can tell a firm number from a thin one.

  2. Switch the metric to Conversion, Revenue or Deals to re-rank.
  3. Untick a source chip to take it out of the chart and the table.
  4. Source breakdown lists deals, conversion, revenue and ASP for the sources still ticked.
Step 3

Rank your partners

Per-partner ASP lists your partners with their Deals, Revenue, Win Rate and ASP. It opens ranked by ASP, highest first, so the partners who bring in the biggest won deals are at the top. Click Partner, Deals, Revenue or ASP to sort by that column. The list shows 25 partners a page.

Win rate is shown to one decimal place, and as a dash for a partner with no deals yet. Read it next to the deal count: a high win rate on two deals says less than a modest one on twenty.

Common questions

Who can see Source Attribution?

Vendor accounts that can read both analytics and partners. Partners do not see it: the page is hidden from partner organisations, and it only ever shows your own organisation's deals.

Is a deal sourced or influenced?

Each deal has one source, set when the deal is created. There is no split between sourced and influenced deals on this page.

Why is a deal missing from the page?

Three reasons. The deal was created before the window you chose, because windows count from the date a deal was created. The deal has no source. Or it entered another way, for example by email or Slack, because the page shows only Partner-submitted, Account mapping and Referral link deals.

How is ASP worked out?

ASP is won revenue divided by the number of won deals that have an amount above zero. A won deal with no amount still counts as a deal and as a win, but it does not pull the average down.

How is conversion worked out?

Won deals divided by all deals created in the window, for each source.

Do the source chips change the cards and the partner table?

No. The chips narrow Source comparison and Source breakdown only. The four headline cards and Per-partner ASP always cover the whole window.

Which currency are the figures in?

The currency your deals are recorded in. If your deals carry none, the page shows US dollars.

What does the page show when there is nothing to report?

No attribution data, with a note that deals appear once they are created and closed in the window you chose. If the page cannot load, it says Could not load attribution data.
